Author Md Yer Ali successfully obtained B.Com Honors and MBS degrees in Finance and Banking from Rajshahi University. In addition to literary pursuits, he is involved in various social, cultural and religious cultural activities. During his student days, especially while studying at the university, many of his writings were published in the newsletter of the Iran Cultural Center.

During his career, he joined a financial institution. After successfully working there, he left his job while holding the position of Senior Executive Vice President and entered the business world. As a successful businessman and industrial entrepreneur, he established several industrial institutions. All these industrial institutions are playing a major role in creating employment as well as alleviating poverty. As the founder of 'Ali Group of Companies', he has established 'Alibaba Theme Park' on the banks of the Teesta River, the beautiful playground of Sundarganj, Gaibandha, Rangpur Division, 'Multi-Purpose Ali Fruits and Vegetable Cold Storage' built with the latest technology in Kaliganj, Lalmonirhat, and 'Lalmoni Agro Limited', along with several other small and large industrial institutions. Currently, thousands of families are directly or indirectly benefiting from being associated with these institutions. This benevolent and charitable man has continued his literary pursuits along with running his business, which is an exemplary example.

He has many poems, articles and stories on contemporary issues. His published poetry books 'Takar Ojn', 'Jhalejhole Ambale', 'Gyandrakol' have already been widely appreciated by the reading community. Apart from this, several more of his poetry books and articles are awaiting publication.

Md Yer Ali was born in 1971 in Jamir Bari village of Bhotmari Union of Kaliganj Upazila of Lalmonirhat district. His father, Maulvi Md. Matiar Rahman, was an educated man of religious principles. He served as an Imam in a mosque for a long time. Mother Rezia Khatun was an ideal housewife. She always held and nurtured her father's ideals. Currently, he is permanently residing in Dhaka with his wife, three daughters and one son.
